Genetic Transmission

Tomasz Twardawa is a living legend of the undergroundindustrial scene in Poland. Since the mid eighties, he has taken part in pioneer projects as TKT, Godzilla and a few more, introducing noise and power industrial aesthetics into the numb, self-proclaimed avantgarde crowd, stimulating its development with his uncompromised, radical approach. His main brain-child, Genetic Transmission, with numerous great releases under belt (all of them gatering incredible reviews all around the world), proves that his flame still burns. The album presented here by is a bruitist construct of thoughtful, detailed electroacoustics with a remarkable musique-concrete edge and composition methods that are completely unpredictable, yet consistent. Sound is the matter.

"GT means full artistic freedom. I'm interested in soundmatter and create music. GT's music reflects in more or less clear way my relation to the world. But there is no reason to penetrate through that theme. It's difficult to define GT's music by one word. By 5 years activity of that project, I moved in quite wide music space. First productions refered to classical industrial by electroacoustic activities, noise to current operation which I would call DADAISTIC BRUIT. All kinds of GT's struggle with sound matter are included in bruit music's sphere. There were emotions, spirits and thoughts peculiar for every periodof GT's activity. So I can't generalize."
