Suka off

SUKA OFF is a Poland based artistic group existing since 1995. The founder and leader of SUKA OFF is Piotr Wegrzynski. Other group members are Sylvia Lajbig, Hellen Burrough and Maciej Dziaczko. They have been creating work across visual theatre, performance art, club action, installation, photography, video art and music visuals. The group has presented work in theatres, art galleries and clubs in most European countries, as well as in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Japan.

The recurring themes of SUKA OFF art are:

- the human carnality in all its biological and physiological aspects
- the attempt to define the "third gender" by blurring the individual attributes / sexual codes culturally arrogated to the male and female
- the mechanisms of human nature, the virus of violence and fear symbolized
by synthetic fluids (liquid latex / acrylic paint)
- the search of alternative and radical forms of communication based on
the connection between the living human body and electronic device functions
- the postindustrial aesthetics, the "clash" between human body
and the substance of steel / aluminum / concrete / silicone.

WHITE ROOM Xtracts
An apocalyptic vision of a place, where body is treated as a container. In this space all superfluous emotions are utilised. The pain used in the therapy reminds of the physicality and the irreversibility of actions. It is also a story about rejection and the seeming acceptance of the "handicapped" people. The viewer becomes a peeper - a part of the majority that represents the society.
The performance has been presented at some of the major fetish events in Europe, including Torture Garden and German Fetish Ball.
