First question: please, let us knowmore about your history, your beginnings...
The beginning. It started in 1987. Iplayed with group called ZILCH making quite strange, humorous mixtureof sounds from postpunk - you know something around No Trend - experimentalmusic to climat near activities of NEGATIVLAND. My next project wereLadne Kwiatki, closer to industrial music. Then GENETIC TRANSMISSIONand GODZILLA.
What´s the basis of GENETIC TRANSMISSIONconcept?
Full artistic freedom. I`m interestedin sound matter and create music. G.T.`s music reflects in more or lessclear way my relation to the world. But there is no reason to penetratethrough that theme.
What kind of emotions or thoughtsdo you emphasize through Genetic Transmission in comparison to yourother project Godzilla? How would you describe your music by your ownwords?
It`s difficult to define G.T.`s musicby one word. By 5 years activity of that project I moved in quite widemusic space. First productions refered to classical industrial by electroacousticactivities, noise to current operation which I would call DADAISTICBRUIT. All kinds of G.T.`s struggle with sound matter are included inbruit music`s sphere. There were emotions, spirits and thoughts peculiarfor every period of G.T.`s activity. So I can`t generalize.
When did you come to touch with thisparticular kind of music or culture for the first time?
It was in 1986 by matter of two SPK`srecords "Leichenschrei" and T.G.`s "Sacrifice",it was enough.
What are your inspirations, bothmusical and non-musical influences?
I`m not sure if I understood your questionbut there were many artists whom activity inspired me. I can mentionthose whom music provide me most impressions and joy. First of all isRUNZELSTRING & GURGELSTOCK, RALF WEHOWSKY (P 16. D4. RLW) and overtemporal BLADDER FLASK. I think that the most influence for my creationhave Dadaizm and Turpizm.
Are you involved in any other artisticactivities - for example videoart, painting?
From several years I concentrate onmusic creation. Sound is my favourite material. In turning point of80-90 years I painted a lot but there were some reasons I`ve stopedto do that. However I`m coming back slowly to painting activity. Ifwe talk about video... well I`m not engaged in it, behind some filmswhich I needed for performances of G.T. and Godzilla.
Can you tell us more about your recordingsand concerts?
Well, there isn`t too much to say. AllG.T.`s materials were prepared in my home studio as a result of moreor less toilsome work with sound matterial but it`s always a piece ofgood fun. There were not too many concerts, 2 or 3 (I`m talking aboutG.T.) and they were different than G.T.`s activity in studio. Concertaare on the whole improvise and until now presented rather noise music.
Can you reveal details about yourcooperation recording with Dave Phillips "For Rudolf Eber"?Where came up this idea from? Do you have any other plans with thisartist?
Before 3 years I contacted with SCHIMPFLUCHGRUPPE and concrete with Dave. Some time later we resolved on cooperation.In effect we made Cd "For Rudolf Eb.Er". Probably it`s nota finish of our cooperation. We plan activities in common in future.
The cd was released under label DieSchoene Blumen Musik Werk - is this the first release on this label?What are your future prospects with this label?
CD was edited in label DIE SCHONE BLUMENMUSIK WERK - it`s number 5 and the same time 14 coz earlier label editedMcs.
Who is Rudolf Eber?
Rudolf Eb.Er is knowing as R&G andhe is one of the most famous artist of our time.
You will soon appear at Prague industrialfestival. What kind of performance do you prepare for this event?
I don`t know and I wonder by myself.
What kind of instruments do you usefor your work?
All what emit sound. The base springof sound is tape and analog syntethizers and microphone`s records ofreal sounds.
